I am currently teaching medical microbiology at University of San Francisco. I absolutely love what I do! And I love my students. I try to incorporate active discussion during lecture and as many activities as possible. I really don't like to drone on in lecture for very long - it's an 8am class and even I am barely awake. Some fun things we have done in the past are vaccination debates, research article journal clubs, and just this morning, bacteria jeopardy! That game got surprisingly cutthroat, but I guess I can't expect any less from highly-driven pre-med and potential graduate students :)
