I love this male! He has a huge, strong, smooth body and beautiful copper coverage. His webbing reduction isn't very good, especially on his caudal, but he makes up for it with a beautiful D shaped caudal and a relatively level anal.

This lady is one of my favorites. She is a bright turquoise (my favorite color!) with a full mask. Her form is also very good - she could use more webbing reduction, but her caudal has long straight outer rays, I love the shape of her body, and her anal is pretty level.
With this brother/sister spawn, I am hoping to get more beautiful metallic CTPKs with even coverage and beautiful color. The form on these fish is not terrible either - most of this spawn had very strong bodies and great D-shaped caudals. In the future, it will be necessary to focus on increase the webbing reduction and reducing the branching in the caudal for a cleaner appearance.

Update 072015

I unfortunately neglected this spawn a bit, and as a result, these guys grew a little small and there are only 5 left. I just transferred them to a 30 gallon grow-out, and it looks like I might have some males and females. I am hoping for a good female to cross with a turquoise brother to the above! I have one great looking juvenile that I hope stays female (my fish have a terrible habit of looking female and then turning into males when they are 6 months old). Fingers crossed!
Update 100715
I managed to get two really nice looking females from this spawn, which is great since I only got males from my other CTPK spawn! Sex determination in bettas really is a curious thing...

The only non-copper CTPK that I have (other than the very old turquoise male). Her form is actually better than the picture suggests!
Since I only got females in this spawn and only males in the other spawn, I will have to cross them to continue this line. I really love the colors, but I will have to take a step backwards with the primary ray branching in the caudal. Let's hope that it doesn't take too many generations!
In addition, if I want to keep any other color than copper, I will have to use my only blue female. I really don't want to lose them! I love coppers, but to have ALL coppers is a little boring ;)

Potential breeding pair. I love her symmetrical webbing reduction, D-shaped caudal, and her even copper color!
